(Re) learn the basics of “feeling the pose” and “experiencing the self”— all the while watching how one’s emotions and thoughts, ebb and flow, as the spiritual Atman. Asanas allow one to navigate emotions as they arise.
Hatha Yoga poses may be utilized, to help with rebalancing chakra psychosomatic energies, to aid in sleeping better, and to learn impulse control. Yoga brings awareness to habits around eating, drinking and losing ourselves in entertainment. Other benefits include: lowering of blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as, preventing disease.
This then returns the body to a place of balance between left (yang energy) and right (yin energy) and allows a more comfortable alignment allowing the body to stay injury free. A yogi is one whose prana, or energy is in the spine. Connect to this energy channel, known as sushumna, clearing the path for Kundalini to rise through chanting AUM and visualizing the process while sitting in Meditation. This work partners well with CranioSacral therapy.
SAMAYAS may be explored.
— Dharana (concentration) - working with a drishti while holding a pose, centers the mind.
— Dhyana (meditation) - may be attuned to chakra health, through focusing the related mantra chant and mudra, for each chakra, as needed. This will coorelate to where you are at in your personal growth, and what you aspire to further develop within yourself.
— Samadhi (union/merging with the Infinite)
VISUALIZATION — to tap in to the third eye (ajna chakra), the center of clarity and wisdom.
